Terms & Conditions
Version 2026-10-06
These pilot terms explain how BinBack rewards work, what users must do, and when returns or rewards may be refused.
1. Pilot status
BinBack is a recycling reward pilot. Features, eligible products, collection points, reward values, and partner venues may change while the service is being tested.
2. No cash guarantee
BinBack rewards are not a bank account, cash account, or guaranteed cash payout. Rewards may be provided as in-app balance, points, vouchers, partner offers, store credit, or other pilot rewards.
3. Pending and confirmed rewards
A scanned container may first appear as pending. A reward becomes confirmed only after the return is checked and accepted by an authorised operator or collection process.
Pending rewards can be rejected if the item is not eligible, cannot be verified, is duplicated, has already been processed, or appears suspicious.
4. User responsibilities
Users must scan the correct product barcode, submit a clear photo of the real empty container, keep the container available for return, and follow collection-point instructions.
Users must not submit fake photos, stock images, duplicate items, unrelated products, altered evidence, or items that they do not intend to return.
5. Fraud and account action
BinBack may review, reject, suspend, or cancel activity where fraud, abuse, repeated suspicious behaviour, or misuse of the system is detected.
Fraud may include repeated duplicate submissions, reusing the same photo, trying to claim for items not returned, manipulating barcodes, creating multiple accounts to abuse rewards, or attempting to bypass operator checks.
6. Vouchers and partner rewards
Voucher rewards may have expiry dates, stock limits, venue restrictions, minimum spend rules, and partner conditions. Unused BinBack store vouchers can be cancelled to return their original credit to your wallet. After a store voucher expires, you can reclaim its unused credit on the Store vouchers page. Used vouchers cannot be reclaimed. Catalogue reward cancellations are handled by an administrator.
7. Product catalogue
Not every UK drink product is available at launch. If a barcode is not recognised, BinBack may allow a manual selection or send the barcode to Product Learning for admin review.
8. Changes to the pilot
BinBack may change eligible products, reward values, collection points, manual-selection rules, fraud thresholds, partner rewards, and pilot locations as the service develops.
9. Contact
For questions about these terms, contact the BinBack pilot team using the support details shown in the app.
